Top 10 Things to Know About Fizen Tokenized U.S. Stocks & ETFs (2026)

Quick answer: Fizen Tokenized U.S. Stocks & ETFs lets eligible users outside the United States buy and sell 100+ tokens issued by Ondo that track U.S. shares and ETFs, paying with USDT or USDC on Ethereum from their own Fizen wallet. A token is not the share itself, dividends are not paid out as cash, fees are itemised before you confirm, and the feature is not available to US Persons. It is investing, not saving.

Key takeaways

  • A tokenized representation, not the share. Tokens are issued by Ondo; your rights are set by Ondo and may be less than a shareholder's.
  • USDT or USDC on Ethereum, from your own wallet. Keep a little ETH for gas. Tokens settle back to your self-custody wallet.
  • Costs are itemised, never free. Spreads widen outside U.S. market hours and orders can fill partly.
  • Not for everyone. Not for US Persons; not marketed in the UK, mainland China or Hong Kong; some countries are limited to professional investors by Ondo.

You get paid in stablecoins, you live outside the U.S., and every broker you try either asks for documents you do not have or a minimum deposit you do not want to park. Tokenized stocks are one answer: a token that tracks a U.S. share, bought from the wallet where your money already sits.

Fizen is building the stablecoin neobank for people on the move, and investing is part of it, next to the wallet, local payments and travel data. Before you buy your first slice of anything, these are the ten things to understand. None of this is investment advice.

What are you actually buying?

1. 100+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, issued by Ondo

The catalogue covers company shares, U.S. equity ETFs, bond ETFs, international ETFs, and gold and silver ETFs. Tokens are named by ticker plus "on": AAPLon tracks Apple, NVDAon tracks NVIDIA, SPYon tracks the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. You can buy fractions, so a first purchase does not have to be a whole share.

2. A token is not the share

Each token is backed by the underlying security, which Ondo or an affiliate holds with third-party custodians. The Tokenized Securities Terms are clear that the token is a tokenized representation: dividend, voting and other rights are defined by Ondo and may be materially less than a direct holder's. Tokens are not covered by deposit insurance or any investor compensation scheme, and if Ondo or a custodian fails, the value can be impaired or lost.

How do you pay, and where do the tokens go?

3. USDT or USDC on Ethereum, plus a little ETH

You buy and sell with USDT or USDC on Ethereum. Gas is paid in ETH, so keep some in the wallet. When you sell, a stablecoin comes back to your wallet.

4. You sign, and tokens settle to your own wallet

There is no brokerage account. You sign each trade with your own key; it is routed through 1inch Fusion and matched against liquidity providers onboarded by Ondo. Settlement usually takes a few minutes, and an order can be partly filled: on a buy you pay only for the tokens matched, on a sale only the matched tokens leave your wallet. Fizen never holds your funds or tokens. Walkthrough: How It Works.

What about dividends and fees?

5. Dividends are not paid to you as cash

U.S. dividends carry 30% withholding tax at source. On Ethereum, the network Fizen uses, Ondo reinvests the rest and it shows up in the token's value rather than as a payout or extra tokens. The Terms also note that in many cases tokens do not pass dividends or voting rights through to retail holders, so do not buy for a dividend cheque.

6. Fees are itemised before you confirm

The total cost can include the liquidity provider's spread or fee, the 1inch Fusion protocol fee, any Ondo fee built into the token, Ethereum gas, and a Fizen interface fee if any. Every cost shows in the app before you sign. It is not free, and it is worth comparing the quote with the last share price.

Can you trade at any hour?

7. Yes, but off-hours prices get wider

Tokens trade on-chain, so you can place a trade in the evening, at weekends and on holidays. Liquidity is thinner when the U.S. market is closed, spreads widen and the price can drift from the last close. Check the rate, slippage and minimum received before you confirm. The IMF's October 2026 Global Financial Stability Report found tokenized equities about 1.5 times as volatile as the same stocks on traditional markets, and about 80 percent of tokenized equity trades smaller than one share.

Who can use it?

8. Not US Persons, and not every country

The feature is not available to US Persons, or in the United States, U.S. territories, comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions, or any jurisdiction where Ondo restricts the token. Fizen does not market it to people in the United Kingdom, mainland China or Hong Kong. Ondo's own eligibility page, checked on 26 October 2026, limits several regions to professional, qualified or accredited investors, including the EEA, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Brazil, and excludes individuals in Switzerland. Seeing the feature in your app does not mean you are eligible where you live. There is no separate KYC for this feature; KYC from other Fizen services is used for sanctions and US-Person screening. What should you keep in mind before buying?

9. Investing, not saving

Prices fall as well as rise, and you can lose some or all of what you put in. It is not a place for rent money or an emergency fund. Fizen and its partners do not withhold tax, so declaring gains is your job under your own country's rules.

10. Transfers have conditions

You can send tokens to someone else only if the recipient is not a US Person and the address supports that token on Ethereum. Ondo can set lock-up or holding-period rules. Blockchains are public, so anyone who knows your address can see its holdings.

Understood that way, it is a small, honest tool: a slice of an index fund held next to your working balance, bought without a broker that turns you away.

Frequently asked questions

Do I own the actual share with a Fizen tokenized stock?

No. You hold a token issued by Ondo that is backed by the share. Your rights are set by Ondo and may be less than a direct shareholder's.

Which stablecoins can I use?

USDT or USDC on Ethereum. Keep a little ETH for gas fees.

Do I receive dividends?

Not as cash. On Ethereum, dividends after 30% U.S. withholding are reinvested and reflected in the token's value. In many cases tokens do not pass dividends through to retail holders.

Are Fizen tokenized stocks free to trade?

No. Costs can include a spread, the 1inch Fusion protocol fee, any Ondo fee in the token, gas and a Fizen interface fee if any. All are shown before you confirm.

Can I trade when the U.S. market is closed?

Yes, but liquidity is thinner and spreads are wider outside U.S. market hours.

Who cannot use tokenized U.S. stocks on Fizen?

US Persons, people in the U.S., its territories or sanctioned jurisdictions, and anyone in a place where Ondo restricts the token. Fizen does not market it in the UK, mainland China or Hong Kong.
