Fizen QR Pay: 10 Things to Know Before You Scan (2026)
Fizen QR Pay lets visitors pay local QR codes in Vietnam and the Philippines from USDT. Before you deposit, here are the ten rules that decide whether a payment goes through, from the network you send on to who the service is open to.
Quick answer: Fizen QR Pay lets travellers and foreigners pay local QR codes in Vietnam and the Philippines from a balance funded with USDT on Solana or BNB Chain. It is for cross-border use only: people who live in Vietnam cannot use it in Vietnam, and people who live in the Philippines cannot use it in the Philippines. Every deposit passes KYC, KYT, AML and counter-terrorist-financing checks before it is credited.
Key takeaways
- USDT on Solana or BNB Chain only. No bank account, no card, no VND or PHP. Another network or token cannot be deposited.
- Cross-border use only. Visitors and foreigners can pay in Vietnam and the Philippines; residents cannot use it in their own country.
- Every major local QR code. VietQR bank codes, VNPay, MoMo and ZaloPay in Vietnam, and QR Ph in the Philippines.
- Limits are simple. Up to US$800 per payment and US$1,000 per week, with no daily limit. Compliance comes first: KYC, KYT, AML and KYB.
Fizen QR Pay exists for one moment: a visitor at a counter in Hanoi or Manila, holding USDT, looking at a QR code the shop expects them to scan. Most of what decides whether that payment works happens before you reach the counter. These are the ten things to know first.
What is Fizen QR Pay and where does it work?
1. It pays local QR codes from USDT
You scan the merchant's normal code, see the amount in local currency, and confirm. The merchant receives local money and never touches crypto.
2. It works in Vietnam and the Philippines today, with Latin America next
Latin America is planned to open to everyone, residents included, under the regional terms that apply when it launches. Supported countries, QR schemes and limits are shown in the app and can change.
Who can use QR Pay?
3. Cross-border use only, in Vietnam and the Philippines
Under the QR Pay Terms you must not use QR Pay at a merchant in your home country. A person who lives in Vietnam cannot use it in Vietnam, and a person who lives in the Philippines cannot scan QR Ph in the Philippines with it. Visitors and foreigners in those countries can. Your home country is set from your KYC information. These are compliance requirements, applied to every account.
How do you fund QR Pay?
4. Only with USDT on Solana or BNB Chain
Not USDC, not BTC, not USDT on Tron or Ethereum, and no bank account link, card top-up or VND or PHP deposit. USDT on another network, or another token, cannot be deposited into QR Pay. If your USDT sits on another chain, use Swap and Bridge in the app to move it to Solana or BNB Chain first, and send a small test before a large amount.
Which QR codes can you pay?
5. Every major local QR code
VietQR bank codes, VNPay, MoMo and ZaloPay. In the Philippines: QR Ph, the national standard used across banks and wallets.
6. In Vietnam, payments go to Vietnamese accounts only
QR Pay pays QR codes that belong to Vietnamese merchants and account holders. A QR code linked to an account held by a foreigner will not go through, so if a payment fails, ask the merchant whether the account is in a Vietnamese person's name. This rule applies in Vietnam only, not in the Philippines.
How does QR Pay protect you?
7. KYC, KYT, AML, CFT and KYB checks, there to protect users
These checks keep stolen and illicit money out of the system, so the balance you pay from, and the merchants you pay, stay clean and your account is harder to misuse. Every user completes identity verification (KYC), and QR Pay is for your own use only. Every deposit is screened before it is credited: Know Your Transaction (KYT), anti-money-laundering (AML), counter-terrorist-financing (CFT), sanctions and fraud checks. Fizen also runs Know Your Business (KYB) checks on the business partners in the payment chain.
Using a VPN, a second account or false residence information to get around a location rule breaks the QR Pay Terms and can lead to suspension.
What are the fees and limits?
8. Fee vouchers when you invite friends
Any fee is shown in the app before you confirm. Invite friends to Fizen and you can earn up to US$50 in fee vouchers in total, applied at up to US$0.20 per payment. The 5% bonus for holding a balance has ended; Fizen says a new and much better programme is coming and will be announced in the app.
9. Up to US$800 per payment and US$1,000 a week
Each payment can be up to US$800, and each user can pay up to US$1,000 per week in total. There is no separate daily limit.
Why would a payment fail, and what should you do?
10. The common reasons a payment fails
- The receiving bank is under maintenance or having a problem. The transfer cannot go through for now. If the app shows the payment as failed, try again a little later or contact Fizen support to check it.
- The payment is still processing. Do not pay again. Wait for the final status, otherwise you may pay the merchant twice.
- In Vietnam, the account belongs to a foreigner. QR Pay only pays Vietnamese account holders there. Ask the merchant for a code linked to a Vietnamese account.
- The QR code is old or expired. Some codes, especially ones generated for a single bill, stop working after a while. Ask the merchant for a new one.
- The payment message has special characters. Many banks reject anything other than letters, numbers and spaces, such as a hyphen, slash, dot or equals sign. Fizen's in-app keyboard has none, so you cannot type one by mistake; if the merchant's code already carries one, tell the merchant.
- The amount is over your limit. Up to US$800 per payment and US$1,000 per week.
Before you confirm, check the merchant name and the amount in local currency shown in the app, not only the printed code, and raise problems with goods or services with the merchant first. The Fizen wallet is self-custody; USDT you move into QR Pay is governed by the QR Pay Terms, so only move in what you plan to spend.
