# Grab Travel Pass in Vietnam for Foreigners in 2026: What It Is, Who Can Buy It, and the Voucher Question

- Description: Grab sells a visitor-only bundle of ride, food and shopping vouchers, called the Travel Pass or Tourist Pack. What Grab's own pages say about who can buy it, how, and for how long, what I could not confirm for Vietnam, and how foreigners pay.

**Quick answer:** As of 2 November 2026, Grab's Travel Pass (called the Tourist Pack on Grab's Vietnam blog) is a bundle of discounted vouchers sold inside the Grab app to international travellers only, bought under Account then Subscription, valid for 4 weeks and usable only in the country where you buy it. I could not find the Vietnam price or voucher list in Grab's own text, so check Account then Subscription in the app before counting on it.

**Key takeaways**

- **It is visitor-only.** Residents, including long-stay residents, cannot buy it, and it works only in the country where you buy it (Grab Vietnam blog, 12 November 2024).
- **You buy it in the app, no local number needed.** Open Account, then Subscription, pick the pass and tap Get This Package; use the vouchers through Offers at checkout.
- **It lasts 4 weeks from purchase.** A pass is worth it only if you will ride and order a lot within that window.
- **I found no verified voucher code.** The value is in the vouchers the pass loads; ignore sites that sell "codes".

You are in the arrivals hall at Noi Bai, the Grab app is open, and a line above the fare says there is a pass for visitors. Is it a saving or just another subscription? The answer depends on how many rides and meals you will actually book in four weeks, and on what the Vietnam version contains.

[Get the Fizen app](https://link.fizen.io/s/B3Aenpj7fz?ref=blog.fizen.io) and your travel eSIM gift is waiting: exclusive to new users, US$10 of eSIM credit the moment you join, which pays for up to 30% of each data plan until it is used. Pay with USDT or by card in the app, and the same app pays the QR at the pho stall and the Grab driver.

## What is Grab's travel pass for foreigners in Vietnam?

Grab's global page describes the Travel Pass as a way to get around and discover more of Southeast Asia "for less". Its Vietnam blog post of 12 November 2024 calls the same product the Tourist Pack: a discounted bundle of vouchers you apply at checkout through Offers. In April 2026 Grab announced a Travel Pass for visitors to Ho Chi Minh City, built into the app, bundling transport, dining and shopping, with total benefits of nearly VND 2.5 million per package, around the city's tourism festival (press release of 14 April 2026, eGlobal Travel Media, 16 April 2026).

That is as far as the primary text goes. Grab's pages show the savings comparison as images, and none of the text I could read gives the Vietnam price or the voucher list. I would not trust any third-party table that does.

## Who can buy it, and how?

1. Install Grab and register an account. You do not need a local phone number.
2. Open the app after you arrive, then go to Account, then Subscription.
3. Select the Tourist Pack or Travel Pass for the country you are in, then tap Get This Package and pay.
4. Before booking a ride or checking out food, tap Offers and choose the voucher.

Grab's rules: international travellers only, not usable in your home country, valid in the country where bought, and you only see the pass for the country you are visiting. Vouchers last 4 weeks from the purchase date. Grab's global page adds that you can buy before departure or on arrival; the Vietnam blog says on arrival. GrabUnlimited members get an exclusive price, which Grab's global page puts at 25% off.

## Is there a promotion code for the Grab travel pass?

I found none on Grab's own pages. What exists is the voucher set inside the pass, and the general Promotions or Offers tab for ordinary rides. A pass bought through a reseller listing on a booking site is a different thing from Grab's in-app subscription, so check what you receive.

## Is it worth buying for a short trip?

Use a simple test, since I cannot quote a verified price. Open the pass page and read four things: which services the vouchers cover (rides, food, grocery), the minimum spend, the cap per voucher, and the expiry. Then count the rides and delivery orders you will realistically make in four weeks. If the pass price is more than the vouchers can return on that count, skip it. If you expect only a few rides, booking normally is likely simpler.

## What do people who have used Grab in Vietnam say?

Forum threads were not openable, so these come from guides updated in October 2026 that our Grab payment guide also uses.

- Most drivers still prefer cash, and a card linked at home can fail on the first ride.
- Keep every ride inside the app; "cancel and pay me directly" is a known trick.
- Set payment before you land: adding a card can trigger an SMS code that some foreign networks block.

## How do visitors pay for Grab in Vietnam?

In short: cash in dong, or an international Visa, Mastercard or Amex linked in the app; the in-app wallet GrabPay by Moca needs a Vietnamese ATM card. The full breakdown, fares and fixes are in our [Grab payment methods guide](https://blog.fizen.io/grab-payment-methods-vietnam-2026/), and the [card-failed fix](https://blog.fizen.io/vietnam-grab-taxi-driver-pay-vietqr-card-failed-2026/) covers the driver-side QR. I could not confirm which payment methods Grab accepts for the pass itself, so look at checkout.

Grab does not take USDT or Fizen as a payment. Fizen helps with the rest of the day: Fizen QR Pay lets foreign visitors pay VietQR, VNPay, MoMo and ZaloPay codes from USDT, with the amount in dong shown before you confirm. It is for visitors only: residents of Vietnam cannot use it in Vietnam, and it pays only the QR codes of Vietnamese account holders. The order is: create or import your non-custodial Fizen wallet, get USDT on Solana or BNB Chain into it, deposit from the wallet into QR Pay (no gas on BNB Chain, a little SOL on Solana; KYC per wallet and per device, and a new device needs KYC again), then scan and pay. USDT on another network, or another token, cannot be deposited. Limits: US$800 per payment and US$1,000 per week, no daily limit. The Fizen wallet is self-custody. QR Pay works differently: USDT you move into QR Pay is governed by the Fizen QR Pay Terms, so only move in what you plan to spend. ## What about data on arrival?

Buying the pass on arrival needs a connection first. As of 2 November 2026, Fizen's Asia plan (18 countries) runs on Viettel Mobile 4G in Vietnam, and fixed-data plans slow to 128 kbps after the allowance. Check the eSIM tab in the app for current plans.
